Porsche LMP 2000 – The Legend That Never Raced.
The Porsche LMP 2000 was developed in the late 1990s as a Le Mans prototype with a naturally aspirated V10 engine. Although the car showed great potential, the project was discontinued in 1999 for cost reasons, shortly before its race debut. After just 78 test kilometers, the race car disappeared into the Porsche Museum for 25 years. It wasn't until 2024 that Porsche Heritage restored the unique prototype to running condition and brought it back to the track with test driver Allan McNish – an emotional revival of one of the most mysterious race cars in Porsche history.
This model commemorates the extraordinary chapter of Porsche motorsport history outlined above and brings the never-used Le Mans prototype into the display case as a detailed collector's model.
